Summary:
Lately people do not view the television as they use to. As radio and books were push aside for television, now the television is the one to be rejected. People now mostly want to multi task and get interactive. Due to Hulu and Netflix, tv will not be necessary.
Relevance to class:
This topic is relevance to the class because the internet is changing our life little by little. We use internet to watch movies or videos. We use the internet to buy items online. We use internet to communicate. We will not have to get out of home if we can work online ( which I will not recommend until its safe to or it becomes the norm). The internet is used many times lately, so this is a good opportunity for web designer to get there jobs
Quote:
“At the same time people have more options for viewing content they used to watch at home, television viewing on a traditional set is changing with the advent of Internet-connected set-top boxes and IPTV services. TV is becoming more interactive, with value-added features that affect how people live their daily lives that go beyond sheer entertainment, Hettick said.” I chose this quote because it tells me that TV is in trouble. I assume cable might be in this position as well.
